Dear Participant Teachers of Andhra Pradesh

I would like to raise some questions on what should a language teacher do when children come to class I with their mother tongue / home language/ first language. Here are my questions.

  1. How can we familiarise the language be the first language (this language may be mother tongue or home language of children)? Children come with oral language, we need to introduce the formal language-words and letters in print to make them notice? What are the ways and means we can do this?

2. How can we familiarise English as a second language when children come to school for the first time?

We may suggest ways and means to familiarise children with the languages in schools.
