yes science lessons can be and should be adapted for enhancing participation of students with special needs. say for example the acid base text using litmus paper can be attempted with the help of colour detector. colour detector is a device which speaks out the name of the colour of an object at which it is pointed at. 

 similarly another example could be lime water turns milky can be observed by warmth of test-tube, effervescence, smell etc. 

There are no ready made lesson plans but surely together we may design the same.
