psycho-motor aspects of behaviour.

Dear sir,
In my opinion majority of the stake holders have failed in understanding the philosophy of CCE.
In order to reduce the importance of written examinations CCE is introduced so as to assess the child's progress in Cognitive, Affective as well as Psycho motor domains.
Some items are very difficult and time consuming in employing certain tools suggested as a part of CCE.
Hence teachers are struggling to follow the pattern. We require a lot of awareness regarding this.

Dear sir,
As far as my understanding is concerned, School Based Assessment is the assessment done at school level, by the concerned teachers only.
This is to shift from the children being evaluated by external agencies or with the centralized tools developed at state level or district level or by experts.
Evaluation will be effective if it is being conducted by the concerned teachers themselves.
Teacher need to be provided autonomy or freedom to conduct the assessment as per his/her children's needs.
Of course the ultimate purpose of any type of assessment is to provide feedback to the teachers about their teaching or the learners about their learning. If this is shifted to school point it is called SBA.
