While teaching shapes and forms, angle, fractions in mathematics, art can be integrated for better learning outcome. Children can be divided into groups of 5-7 each, asked to make forms by standing or sitting in circles, triangles, rectangles, square etc. While making the shapes, they may sing a song, move around then freeze in a shape. They may be explained the difference between shape and form (triangle and pyramid or circle and cylinder) by the teacher while they do the activities. Each group can be given a name of the shape. Also, they may be encouraged to draw/ sketch different shapes from their surroundings or classroom....without using any geometrical instruments. They can then may be asked to create the three dimensional forms from sheets. Similarly, the teacher may create another activity to teach fractions.
